Plugin for Lab Assignment Submission

The plugin can be installed in Eclipse and used also from home, given an available internet connection.

Follow the steps below to install the plugin:

1. Open the menu Help; Software Updates; Find and Install...
   The following dialog appears:
   
   
   
2. Select Search for new features to install and click on Next
   The following dialog appears:
   
   
   
   
3. If the Softeng PO site is already present (you installed previous versions of the plugin) go to step 5
   
   
4. Click on New Remote Site...
   The following dialog appears:
   
   
   Enter the following values:
   • Name: Softeng PO
   • URL: http://softeng.polito.it/02CBI/updates/
   
   
   
5. Select the Softeng PO update site (just added)
   
   
   
6. Click on Finish (Next in old (pre 3.1) Eclipse versions)
   The following dialog appears:
   
   
   
7. In the list of available features select "Softeng PO Consegna Elaborati" (the latest version if more than one are shown) and click on Next
   The following dialog appears:
   
   
   
8. Read and click on Next
   The following dialog appears:
   
   
   
9. Select the location (on your file system) where to install the plugin (usually the one proposed by Eclipse is fine) and click Finish
   The following dialog appears:
   
   
   
10. Since the provided software is not digitally signed Eclipse ask confirmation before installing it. Chose Install
    After a few seconds the following dialog appears:
    
    
    
11. To complete the installation you need and Eclipse restart, so click on Yes
    
12. Eclipse restarts,
    • first, as usual, you can select the workspace
    • the if the PC is connected to the internet it should ask your ID (matricola)
      
      
    • you can skip authentication by entering a blank ID and confirming your choice
