La Luminara

The event known as the Luminara takes place in Pisa every year on June 16. The entire riverfront is lit up with candles decorating the buildings and bridges, creating a breathtaking spectacle that has now been proposed as a UNESCO world heritage event. The following day, June 17, features the festival of San Ranieri and the historical regatta in the Arno River.
