Please note that the UNIK license description above only refers to the UNIK package and NOT to the also included packages from other sites!

Download, install, and run UNIK clients, using our deployed services, need the following steps:

1. You need SUN Java Development Kit (JDK Version 1.3.1) installed correctly on your local operating system.
2. You need to download a SIP client (try SUSAN of Telecom Italia Lab or check out this  list of SIP clients )
3. Download the latest version of the UNIK clients package (that contains ORBacus libraries).
4. Have a look at the clients installation page.

If you want UNIK servers, you also need:

1. Orion J2EE Application Server 1.5.2 (other J2EE application servers have not been tested)
   Please ensure that you have the 'tools.jar' library accessible in your local classpath. The library is located in the directory lib/tools.jar from the JDK.
2. ORBacus CORBA broker (the more recent 4.1  version has not been tested yet; try the old 3.3 version available here) with its security packages.
3. The IAIK security libraries (iaik_ssl.jar  iaik_jce_full.jar) available for evaluation at http://jcewww.iaik.at
4. Telecom Italia Lab StarSip libraries (version 1.3.11, the latest one is under evaluation): ask StarSip team at starsip@tilab.com
5. Download the latest version of the UNIK-servers package.
6. Have a look at the servers installation page.
